UPort 1150 USB-to-serial converter allows you to connect 1 RS-232/422/485 device to your laptop or workstation via USB (Universal Serial Bus). UPort 1150 is a low cost-high efficiency converter for both old and new type RS 232 devices. It is also ideal for motion, instrumentation and point-of-sale applications. USB plug & play makes serial port multiplexing very practical and eliminates the need for IRQ, DMA, or I/O address resources. Users do not have to open the chassis or turn off the power to add a COM port, saving both time and cost.
