The UC-8100 programming platform is designed specifically for embedded data acquisition applications. The computer has 1 or 2 RS-232/422/485 serial ports and dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN ports, as well as a mini PCIe slot with cellular module support. These versatile communications features enable users to adapt the UC-8100 to a wide variety of complex communications applications.

Built around a Cortex-A8 RISC processor, the UC-8100 can address a wide range of industrial applications as well as being optimized for use in energy monitoring systems. With its flexible interface options, this tiny embedded computer serves as a reliable and durable gateway for data collection and processing in the field, as well as a very useful communication platform for many large-scale systems.

Models with a wide operating temperature range (T) are also offered for applications in harsh environments. All products are subjected to detailed testing in special test rooms, ensuring that these programming platforms can operate smoothly at extreme temperatures.

Since many legacy industrial protocols are not compatible with IoT technologies, sending data from edge devices to a cloud database often consumes limited engineering resources. Moxa's ThingsPro™ optional software tool, offered with the UC-8100 series, is an integrated data collection and device management software package. In addition to general Modbus protocol support, it also offers support for IoT communication protocol MQTT. In this way, it allows you to easily transfer field data to a remote database in a few simple steps.
