RS-232/422/485 - Fiber Converter. Single-mode media converter with SC connector

TCF-142-S-SC media converter can support RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial interfaces and single-mode fiber. It can detect serial baudrate automatically. In this way, uninterrupted data transfer continues without data loss even if the baudrate changes on any of the connected devices. TCF-142-S-SC converter can be used to connect serial devices to fiber ring. To create a ring, you need to connect one TCF-142 Tx port to the Rx of the converter next to it. After the ring is created, the TCF-142 converter should be put into "ring mode" using DIP switches. When a signal is sent from one point, this signal will pass through all elements of the ring and will be blocked when it returns to the sending component. It is possible to create a fiber ring with a total length of 100 km with this device. With Moxa's patented ADDC RS-485 data routing mechanism, the need to use waveform signals is eliminated.
