PT-G503-PHR-PTP-HV

IEC 61850-3 / IEC 62439-3 compliant, full Gigabit managed redundancy box, 3 10/100/1000BaseT(X) ports or 100/1000Base SFP port, 1 10/100/1000BaseT(X) Ethernet console port, 1 isolated dual power supply (88 to 300 VDC / 85 to 264 VAC), -40 to 85°C operating temperature range

Features:

  • IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 (substations) compliance
  • IEC 62439-3 Clause 4 (PRP) and Clause 5 (HSR) compliance
  • Support for PRP/HSR Coupling and QuadBox functions
  • Dedicated Ethernet console for local access
  • Internal MMS server based on IEC 61850-90-4 switch modeling of energy SCADA systems
  • Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP support
  • NERC CIP compliant system development ready design
  • Isolated redundant power inputs with universal 24/48 VDC or 110/220 VDC/VAC power supply range
  • Operating temperature range -40 to 85°C
PT-G503-PHR-PTP series backup boxes (RedBox) comply with the latest standardized backup protocols for industrial automation networks, IEC 62439-3 Clause 4 (Parallel Redundancy Protocol, PRP) and IEC 62439-3 Clause 5 (High-Availability Seamless Redundancy, "High-availability Seamless Redundancy", HSR) standards. PRP/HSR ensures the highest system availability and data reliability for critical electrical substation and/or process automation system applications requiring redundancy with zero recovery time. PT-G503 also supports backup protocols Coupling and QuadBox. Along with Coupling and QuadBox, HSR rings can be connected making redundant networks more versatile. Supporting all of these protocols on the same device offers a long-lasting solution in every sense, with the flexibility it provides for new needs that may arise.
PT-G503-PHR-PTP Series has 3 10/100/1000BaseT(X) and 100/1000BaseSFP input combo ports. An entry (INTERLINK port) belongs to an internal link reserved for connecting with a Single Attached Node (SAN). The other two ports (LAN A and LAN B) are reserved for PRP/HSR redundant protocol communication. With this full Gigabit Ethernet port design, the PT-G503-PHR-PTP series offers high performance in PRP/HSR systems. The PT-G503-PHR-PTP series also provides hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP in end-to-end single-step transparent clock mode in applications where timing is critical. It also increases the reliability of the power supply with isolated redundant power inputs with a power supply range of 24/48 VDC or 110/220 VDC/VAC.

IEC 62439-3 Clause 4 (PRP) and Clause 5 (HSR) Compliant RedBox

IEC 62439-3 Clause 4 (Parallel Redundancy Protocol, or PRP), and IEC 62439-3 Clause 5 (High Availability Seamless Redundancy, or HSR) are the latest standardized redundancy protocols for industrial automation networks that require zero downtime. PRP/HSR devices are of great importance for electrical substation automation and mission-critical applications where system interruption cannot be tolerated.

All-in-One Device for Easy Setup and Management

Moxa's PT-G503-PHR-PTP RedBox is a PRP/HSR device that supports all four of Gigabit, PTP, Coupling and QuadBox. It was developed to create versatile and scalable zero-downtime networks that are easy to manage and deploy.

Design for Developing NERC CIP Compliant Systems

NERC CIP cyber security standards are standards created to ensure that all parties responsible for the reliability of electrical systems detect and protect critical cyber assets that can affect or keep this reliability under control. Moxa's PRP/HSR redundant communication units are designed with internal cyber security features that comply with NERC CIP requirements for the development of safe and reliable systems.

Internal MMS Server for Energy SCADA Integration

"Manufacturing Messaging Specification (MMS) is the main control and transmission protocol used in communication in IEC 61850 compliant systems. On the other hand, the protocol used in the management of IT hardware today is a completely different protocol from MMS and is based on a completely different logical structure. The installed "Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)". Because PRP/HSR devices use a Supervision Frame for device and link status monitoring, it is difficult to integrate these two systems for control and management.
A built-in MMS server provides an efficient tool for managing the PRP/HSR network, thus making substation networks easier to control, flexible and compatible. Moxa's RedBox series PT-G503 is currently used in many substations in Turkey.
