With the NPort 5600 rackmount Series, you protect your hardware investment and gain the opportunity for future expansion thanks to the centralization of serial device management and distribution of management commands over the network. With a simple adjustment via the NPort 5610-8 model, 8 serial devices can be connected to the Ethernet network. NPort 5610-8 device server is delivered to you with Tx/Rx LEDs for the serial port on the front panel and 8 RJ45 serial port connectors on the rear panel. This feature makes the devices suitable for standard 19-inch rack mounting and offers you simple operation, maintenance and management.

Real COM/TTY drivers ensure that the Real COM ports of the NPort 5600 series are supported by Windows; It is produced so that Real TTY ports can be identified by Linux. In addition to this simplified data sending/receiving, NPort drives support RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, and DCD control signals. System LED, serial Tx/Rx LEDs and Ethernet LEDs (on RJ45 connector) make it easy to identify and troubleshoot problems in the field. LEDs provide status display not only for the system and network they are in, but also for other connected serial devices.
