With the NPort 5610-16 rackmount Series, you protect your hardware investment and gain the opportunity for future expansion thanks to the centralization of serial device management and distribution of management commands over the network. With a simple adjustment via NPort 5610-16, 16 serial devices can be connected to the Ethernet network. The product is delivered to you with Tx/Rx LEDs for the serial port on the front panel and 8 or 16 RJ45 serial port connectors on the rear panel. This makes NPort 5610-16 device servers suitable for standard 19-inch rack mounting, providing you with simple operation, maintenance and management. NPort 5610-16 is produced so that the Real COM ports of the devices can be identified by Windows and the Real TTY ports by Linux. In addition to this simplified data sending/receiving, NPort drives support RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, and DCD control signals. System LED, serial Tx/Rx LEDs and Ethernet LEDs (on RJ45 connector) make it easy to identify and troubleshoot problems in the field. LEDs provide status display not only for the system and network they are in, but also for other connected serial devices.
