NPort 5450 series serial-to-ethernet converters enable 4 serial devices to establish a reliable and transparent connection via Ethernet, allowing you to control these devices over the network with a simple installation. Data flow between the serial and Ethernet interface is bidirectional. With the NPort 5450 series, you can create a centralized management system, have durable hardware and get practical solutions for future network expansion. NPort 5450 series device server is used to communicate with various devices for event control and remote data query over TCP/IP network. For maximum flexibility, each serial port can operate in a separate operating mode. For example, port 1 can be in Driver mode, port 2 in TCP Server mode, and ports 3 and 4 in TCP Client mode. NPort 5450 series RS-232/422/485 to Ethernet converters have both DC terminal block and DC power cable input with dual power supply support. Support for two types of power inputs gives users flexibility for different applications. Additional insulation protection is available in the I model, and resistance to wide temperature ranges is also available in the T models.
