The ICF-1170I Series CAN bus-to-fiber converter converts CAN signals from copper into fiber optic signals. These converters guarantee continuity with 2 kV optical isolation, dual power input and alarm system. You can use the Fiber Test Mode to determine whether the fiber cable between two ICF-1170Is carries data as desired. In Fiber Test Mode, the fiber transmitter (TX) will continuously send data signal and the "Fiber TX" LED will light. On the other side of the connection, the ICF-1170I fiber receiver (RX) receives the signal from the TX and the "Fiber RX" LED turns on.
