ICF-1150I-S-ST-T

The ICF-1150-S-ST-T features 2 serial ports, a DB9 connector for RS-232 communication, and a removable terminal block for RS-422 or RS-485 communication. The 3 ports (2 serial ports and one single-mode fiber port) are completely independent from each other. The device receives signals from any of its ports and sends signals from the other two ports. For example, when the ICF-1150-S-ST-T receives a command over the single-mode fiber port, it converts the signal and transmits this command as a serial signal through the RS-232 and RS-422/485 ports simultaneously. If the user is controlling a system running via RS-485, there is no need for an additional RS-232 – RS-485 converter to connect the serial port of the computer to the RS-485 bus.

The RS-485 interface supports multi-drop or daisy-chain connections, which allows serial devices such as meters, RTUs and readers to be connected on the same bus. Since the impedance on the data line increases as the number of serial devices on the same bus increases, ICF-1150-S-ST-T also allows high/low resistance values to be adjusted. This can be done without removing the ICF-1150-S-ST-T from the DIN-rail, simply by turning the rotary switch to the desired value.  

ICF-1150I-S-ST-T, which can operate at extreme temperatures without any problems, also has bi-directional 2 kV galvanic isolation protection on its ports.
