TCF-142-S-SC-T media converter can support RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial interfaces and single-mode fiber. It can detect serial baudrate automatically. In this way, uninterrupted data transfer continues without data loss even if the baudrate changes on any of the connected devices. TCF-142-S-SC- T can be used to connect serial devices to fiber ring. To create a ring, you need to connect one Tx port to the Rx of the converter next to it. After the ring is created, the converter should be put into "ring mode" with DIP switches. When a signal is sent from one point, this signal will pass through all elements of the ring and will be blocked when it returns to the sending component. T models can operate at temperatures from -40 to 75°C.
