PCI Express cards are designed for industrial automation applications requiring long-distance multipoint PC-based data acquisition. Windows COM and Linux/Unix TTY drivers are provided for all Moxa cards and other embedded operating systems such as WEPOS. Both RS-422/485 serial ports of CP-132EL-I cards can reach speeds of 921.6 Kbps. In RS-485 mode, cards can be added to 31 daisy-chained RS-485 devices within 1.2 km. This model with 2 kV optical isolation protection should be especially preferred for long distance RS-485 communication.
