MGate 5111 industrial Ethernet gateways convert data between Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and PROFIBUS protocols. All models are protected by a robust metal casing, can be DIN-rail mounted, and have built-in series isolation. Modbus is one of the most widely used industrial communication protocols, while EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and PROFIBUS protocols are frequently used in factory automation and process automation. The MGate 5111 supports both Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP master and slave modes, making it possible to easily connect Modbus devices to PROFIBUS-supported PLCs or DCS, such as Siemens PLCs. For system integration, the MGate 5111 can be connected to PLC/SCADA systems using EtherNet/IP in a scenario such as Rockwell Automation PLCs to PROFIBUS PLC/DCS systems. Or it can integrate a new PROFINET supported Siemens PLC system into an existing PROFIBUS supported system. MGate 5111 gateways are designed to provide easy configuration and rapid maintenance. A convenient web console can be used to define remote maintenance tasks, while the configuration wizard UI helps you set up your gateway in no time. A comprehensive suite of troubleshooting tools reduces configuration time and system downtime. This durable design provides a solution that meets the needs of similar industrial applications in the field of factory automation, oil & gas, water and wastewater and process automation.
